Pop’s House, Inc. was created to assist veterans and ex-offenders who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in their efforts to achieve ultimate independence and self-sufficiency.
Our vision is to reduce recidivism and homelessness by changing the lives of individuals re-entering our communities. Pop’s House serves individuals through permanent housing, transitional housing, programs and services, who are at least 18 years of age and who are re-entering society from the armed forces or incarceration.
Poverty, re-entry from war, and release from an institution with no resources to re-integrate are the reasons some people become homeless. Pop’s House’s model for addressing the problem of homelessness is the “Re-Entry Program”, which is transitional housing with associated support services.
The Program will run in phases and will assist clients in meeting residential, social, educational and vocational needs by providing computer literacy, financial literacy and employment assistance all while enhancing the general well-being and self-esteem of those who attend. Clients will be referred by Community Correctional Centers, Shelters and Veteran Programs.
